Hi. : Hi. Cannot diagnose the reason your period stopped. However, if it stopped after you began doing workout insanity with two extra hours per day of physical activity, that could be causitive. If your body is not used to a high level of exercise, the stress could be impacting your menses. Over-exercising and rapid weight loss are also possible reasons for lack of your period. If you were previously deconditioned and began an intensive work out program, you may need to take breaks on certain days or decrease on the aggressiveness of your program. If you were losing weight rapidly, this may need to slow. Also, if you have been sweating, moving a lot, and losing weight, your body may be detoxifying, which might also impact your health. Make sure you get in at least 8 -8 oz glasses of water per day. Give your doctor a call if this doesn't turn around. Take care.

Reconsider...: I keep hearing bad things about the Insanity program. One other writer on this forum complained that his hips and other joints were in severe pain after participating, and now you aren't menstruating. Sounds to me that this program is too extreme. Consider powering down and practicing a kinder and gentler form of exercise and diet. Side effects this big are bad.
