Hi. : Hi. I have not heard of the epididymis being severed. However, here are a list of possible symptoms from epididymitis. Inflammation of the epididymis is called epididymitis, and it is usually caused by bacteria from the bladder or the urethra. Symptoms can include blood in the semen, discharge from the penis, tenderness or heaviness in the testicular area, fever or chills. You could experience pain with ejaculation, urination of defecation. The scrotum or groin could be painful, tender or swollen.
