Extend life?: There are exciting new and old treatments for copd. They do make a difference in many ways. Prolongation of life is harder to achieve but is feasible.

Oxygen...: The only therapy that is known to prolong life in COPD is oxygen therapy and it is only needed if your oxygen level on room air is below a certain level. All other therapies are helpful for symptom control but do not actually prolong life.
