A member asked:

Is there any new treatments for copd, besides inhalers?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

COPD: Some of the ingredients in inhalers can also be given orally. Oxygen and home intermittent positive pressure machines are occasionally ordered. Oral antibiotics are used to treat flareups of superimposed bronchial infections. Expectorants and chest physical therapy are used to raise secretions. Physical therapy helps exercise performance.
