A member asked:

After having a cardiac bypass, how much saturated fat should a woman eat each day?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Little as possible: Saturated fat is the "bad" fat. As such, one should consume as little of the saturated fats as possible. Instead, replace the saturated fats with unsaturated fats as this is the "good" fat. Saturated fats are primarily fats from animals and dairy products. Unsaturated fats are usually plant based (olive oil, avocados, etc.). Consult with your doctor or dietician for more information.
