A member asked:

14 months post bypass op, have been diagnosed with non-cardiac chest pain. pain level on a normal day is the same as two weeks after surgery, why ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Happens: I've see this before: some people have very troublesome chest wall pain after CABG surgery related to scar formation and adhesions. I've found that physical therapists who are skilled with scar manipulation and stretching can provide significant relief. Some people have relief with Lyrica (pregabalin) or neurontin. Keep your spirits up - it's worse when you're down. Try to be as active as you're able. Gd luck.
