See you doctor : Food particles can sometimes get stuck in the throat. If this is the case and it has not resolved on its own, it may be time to see an ears, nose, and throat doctor. They can look with a thin scope and remove it. They can also confirm that it is not a foreign body but just inflammation or other cause.

Dry throat: The coughing can cause a dry sensation in the throat, but you're also expelling air when you cough, which can cause irritation and dryness. We often recommend humidified air and lots of fluids for people when they get sick and cough, exactly for the reason you mentioned!
