This : This is a very broad diagnosis simply indicating that there is something wrong with your joint(s). For example, a torn meniscus cartilage in a knee is a joint derangement. However, so is a torn ligament such as an acl (anterior cruciate ligament). Some diagnosis coding manuals use this very broad term (internal derangement) until a more specific diagnosis can be made with further evaluation (xray, mri, etc).
