Yes: Generally, bizarre delusions are signs of a developing schizophrenia. However, if the delusion is of grandeur (in other words you think you are powerful in some way) it could be related to a mood episode from bipolar disorder.

Maybe....: A delusion does not = schizophrenia. Schizophrenia entails six months of symptoms and must significantly impair functioning. The symptoms are not due to drug use or another mental illness.Symptoms may include hallucinations, delusions (fixed beliefs that aren't true), disorganized speech and behavior, lack of motivation and emotional expression, low energy, poor grooming etc.
