Can orajel be used for a burned tongue? i have developed a sore spot on my tongue, possibly from a burn. can i use orajel for the pain, or is it only for the other parts of the mouth?

The : The problem with using orajel on your tongue, is that it will quickly be washed away by your saliva. My advice is to take tylenol (acetaminophen) or advil, suck on ice cubes or drink cool water. Lastly gargle with warm salt water, which will help it heal faster. Best of luck, .

Burned tongue: Orajel could be used anywhere in the mouth .But it is only temporary till you see your dentist for the proper diagnosis and treatment .The prolonged use of orajel could cause a chemical burn
