Another : Another option, beside medications is medical acupuncture. There is a very simple ear protocol for addictions called the nada protocol. It is safe and can be quite effective.

Other medication too: Alcoholism is not a uniform disease & different medicines have different benefits. For many the support & spiritual tenets of aa are most successful. Other medicines, both standard- & under research- that block relapse, also include: anti seizure/antimigraine med topiramate anti nausea med ondansetron anti muscle spasm med baclofen these are 'off label' uses meaning not yet officially approved.
