I : I am not sure what "anti" pain is or how it relates to an IV in the left hand. Discomfort a week after surgery may or may not be normal. It all depends on how concerned you are about the pain you are having. The best thing to do is to call your surgeon and check with them. If you cannot reach them then try your internist. If all else fails and you feel your need is urgent then go to the nearest emergency room. I hope this helps.

This : This can happen and may be stiffness due to immobility or a sensory nerve could have been injured which will recover.Sensory nerves provide feeling and if they get inflammed they may be tennder so i think heat and massage would help but it should go away with time.I would encourage you to use your right arm.

Call Surgeon: Given your description, i think you will be best off running your concerns by your surgeon. Physical examination would be necessary to make an accurate diagnosis and offers you treatment recommendations. Best wishes.
