Exceedingly rare: Cushing's disease, as opposed to syndrome, can be very difficult to diagnose and treat in children. It is rare enough that he should be in the care of pediatric endocrinologists and pediatric neurosurgeons who have experience treating this. Please talk to his pediatric endocrinologist about this. The nih does see patients like this also. Best wishes.
