There : There are many different causes of infertility. Some are hereditary or partially hereditary but infertilty per se is not a heritable disease. Since 30-40% of infertility is male related, your mom might not have had any fertility problems at all. Try to find out what she knew about the cause of her fertility difficulties and any gynecologic problems that she subsequently developed. A more specific knowledge of her history might be helpful in predicting your potential but most likely her history doesn't necessarily mean problems for you.
