Is it normal that my daughter never experienced the terrible twos?

Depends a lot on kid: Of the behavior styles kids grow into over time some kids are just good relators early on & seem to pick up on cues on how to fit in better. These kids are often quiet & enjoy people & like routines & simple activities more than headstrong kids. Headstrong kids give the mellow ones a bad name. They are more likely to take off and test boundaries. Diversity of styles makes parenting an experience.

If you recognized : that learned behaviors start at 6 months, & selectively reinforced behaviors you wanted & ignored behaviors you didn't want by effective use of time-out from 18 months on, you'd have had a "Terrific Toddler", not a " Terrible Two". A typically-developing toddler tests limits, but may be temperamentally easy. At 4, she may show more desire for control of what she wears, eats & does.
