This : This condition is typically called "black, hairy tongue". Some of the causes include antibiotic use, smoking, poor oral hygiene, and drinking coffee. I would recommend brushing the tongue twice daily and avoidance of possible causes. If not improved after a few days, consider seeing your physician for further evaluation. I hope that helps!

Thrush: Sounds like you have a fungal infection in your mouth (candida albicans or thrush). See a dentist. It's easily treatable with a prescription lozenge.
