A : A real serious concern for someone with a history like yours would be bowel obstruction. For the future if you experience any of the following: abdominal pain(crampy in nature) that usually comes and goes nausea vomiting diarrhea constipation inability to pass gas or have a bowel movement abdominal distention please seek medical attention right away.

Primary care: your question cuts off - but sigmoid colon is often tortuous, and with any constipation gas can easily get trapped and cause discomfort. Since you had a somewhat recent colonoscopy and you share no other alarming symptoms, would start with an evaluation by your PCP.

Screen BE bef. Colon: During C^scopy, 2 places where difficulty can occur. One is the sigmoid colon, where it can be difficult to get around the acute bends of the rectosigmoid and the sigmoid descending colon junction.Problem is found in young, slender pts., as well as patients who have had pelvic surgery & D.Colon pts. I prefer a pediatric colonoscope for primary instrument .Gastroscope in such pts. if colon Fails
