If needed: Recently, this drug has been less available in many places but is a category b which means no risk to the fetus has been demonstrated. This medicine is not mutagenic, teratogenic or embryotoxic. Very little of it is absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and it works by blocking sugar uptake by intestinal tapeworms. In pregnancy, only take medicines that are absolutely necessary.
