High : High blood pressure is a serious medical condition, and if left untreated can lead to life threatening conditions such as a heart attack or stroke. There are many prescription medications that are safe and effective in controlling blood pressure. After a detailed history physical, blood tests and ekg your doctor will decide what medication is right for you. If you are uninsured there are many free or low income clinics that will care for you. See a doctor: If you have hypertension no over the counter med or herb is going to help. Seek help!!! Do NOT treat it yourself. Long term, Hypertension may be improved with low sodium diet, weight loss and exercise (but you still may need medications)
