Whats the symptoms of herpes? symptoms for minor cases

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Symptoms : Symptoms may vary depending upon whether this is an initial or recurrent outbreak. However, it is possible to be infected with genital herpes and never experience symptoms. The first herpes outbreak is the usually the most severe. Symptoms tend to be more severe in women than men. The first outbreak usually occurs within a few weeks after infection and resolves within two to three weeks. The signs of an initial episode include multiple blisters in the genital area, which become painful ulcers. The areas most frequently involved include the vagina, vulva, buttocks, anus, and thighs. Other symptoms include tender, swollen lymph nodes in the groin, flu-like symptoms, such as joint pain and fever. Some people will experience headache, painful urination, or nausea and vomiting.
