I : I am assuming you are speaking of an umbilical hernia (the belly button pops out). Typically these resolve or start to resolve after one year of age. Surgeons usually wont operate until after that time. A pediatric general surgeon does these surgeries very frequently. I suggest you ask your daughter's pediatrician to set up a consultation. Best of luck.

Talk to MD: If your daughter has a hernia at the belly button this can be corrected at any point. Talk to your pediatrician about wether this is a good option for you at this time.

Kids seldom need rpr: Loose belly muscles help a developing baby by allowing easy blood flow thru the umbilical cord into babies body. After birth, that loosness may allow a transient umbilical hernia that will usually disappear when the belly muscles tighten, starting after baby learns to sit.By 2yo most uh have receded. I find girls more likely to need repair than boys ? Reason.I rarely refer for repair.
