Do all prescription meds come in child safety proofed containers?

No: People can request that their medicines come in bottles that are not child proof. Senior sometimes do this because they have trouble opening the child proof caps. Don't get lured into a false sense of safety; keep supposedly child proof bottles out of kids' reach anyway. Experience shows that kids can often get the bottles open anyway, if they want to and they're determined.

NO: Many times they do, but not always. Problem is - that even 'child proof' containers are more 'child difficult' then proof and children still have been known to access them. The best 'child proofing' of medication is placing the medication in a location completely off access to kids. Locking dangerous medications up is the best way to insure children are restricted from access.
