Hi doctors, was just wondering what is a "full cycloplegic prescription" in regards to a child's eyeglass prescription?

Dilated measurement: Children have amazing powers of accomodation, which is the technical term for the ability to use muscular control to alter the focusing power of the eye. "Cycloplegia" is a chemical induced paralysis of these muscles so the basic power of the eye can be measured. This is used to help calculate the actual prescription need by the child and also helps in examination of the back of the eye.
