It's : It's doctor-speak for "bumps that aren't cancer" kind of a garbage-pail term one might use when referring to things on your skin that are safe enough to burn off (because you're not too worried that they are invasive cancer). When ordering tests or procedures, doctors are required to provide a diagnosis, and sometimes there's not one that fits neatly. It's not a pathologic diagnosis, meaning it doesn't tell you what the bumps were that you had frozen off. That can only be determined by cutting them off and sending them to the path lab. Obviously, your doctor would have done that if they thought these were troublesome in appearance.

Skin tumors: Many are benign- non-malignant thus not cancer. Papillomas, hemangiomas, lipomas, fibromas, keratosis are all benign skin things! cancers include melanoma, squamous, basal cell --most from overexposure to sunlight tanning etc.
