First : First you need to know there is a difference between yeast infections and BV (bacterial vaginosis) and how they are treated. Also, beta strep is typically not treated unless causing symptoms. Many women are colonized with this bacteria and have no adverse effects. As far as your question goes, you are referring to the live active cultures in yogurt, namely lactobacillus, which helps maintain a normal vaginal ph and flora thus helping to prevent vaginal yeast infections (yeast more so than bv). There are much simpler and less messy ways to benefit from lactobacillus. Most health food or any store that sells vitamins and dietary supplements sell lactobacillus in pill or powder form for oral ingestion. In addition to this try not to wear tight fitting underware or underware made from any other material other than cotton. Keep your vagina clean and dry whenever possible. Best of luck.
