Needs treatement: The most likely cause of a sustained heart rate of 150 is atrial flutter. This not only poses a stroke risk, it can permanently damage your heart if left untreated (causing a "tachycardia mediated cardiomyopathy"). Please see your doctor next week, even though you feel okay.
