Under research: This past year marks the first implantation of stem cells for ALS in the US in an FDA sanctioned trial efficacy is not yet known as the study is still accruing patients.

No.: Unfortunately, there is no surgical or medical cure for als.

Not at all: There is no cure known for ALS, and the sole surgery used would involve tracheostomy or a feeding tube both for supportive and palliative purposes.
