The : The best way to treat the whiteheads and blackheads of acne is typically to use a benzoyl peroxide cleanser followed by Retin-A (tretinoin) cream/gel or another retinoid such as differin or tazorac (tazarotene). I also like the medication epiduo since it combines benzoyl peroxide and differin in one medication. It is important to be consistent and usually most patients see improvement over time. Another option is to have a chemical peel if the above treatment isn't successful.
