A member asked:

Is brain cancer surgery a routine operation for neurosurgeons?

Yes: Yes but this depends very much on the location of the tumor. Some tumors can be adjacent to or involve parts of the brain with critical function; these cases can be more challenging.

No: Some neurosurgeons are very experienced in the surgery of a brain tumor and some are not. You as the patient need to know this in advance of having that surgeon work on you for treatment of a brain tumor.
