One : One unfortunate complication of diabetes is diabetic neuropathy. This is nerve damage in the body that occurs due to high blood sugar levels. The symptoms develop slowly over many years and typically consist of burning, tingling, and numbness, mainly in legs and feet. Please let your doctor know that you are having these symptoms. There are multiple treatment options. Good luck.

Nerve pressure: Most likely nerve pressure from a shoe. If you are flat-footed, you could be stretching the nerve as it passes beneath the inner ankle bone and goes to the big toe. Check your shoes as regards extra pressure directly on the toe and pressure under the ankle bone.
