Pain killers: Unfortunately the use of opioids for chronic pain is still part of the standard of care. Your concern leads me to believe you do not feel you should continue with the present plan. Seek out a pain managment physician to evaluate you managment needs and see if you can move away from the opioid use. We now have a number of better options available.
