Even : Even though a tubal ligation is considered a permanent form of birth control, there is still about a 0.5% chance that a woman could still get pregnant. Occasionally a fallopian tube will reform or reconnect allowing a pregnancy to happen. Since about 12% of these post-tubal ligation pregnancies can be ectopic (meaning that the pregnancy implants into the fallopian tube instead of the uterus which is a surgical emergency) you should see your ob/gyne right away.

Tubal Ligation: Even a tubal ligation is not 100 % -especially as the years pass. Becoming pregnant with a tubal ligation can increase risks for a tubal pregnancy. Please let your doctor know as soon as possible.
