I bit my tongue 3 weeks ago and sustained a cut that has not healed and does not even show a sign of healing. what can i do? i use listerine mouth wash and/or hydrogen peroxide..

That : That is unusual that it is taking that long. Usually tongue lacerations heal very rapidly. I would stop using the listerine as it can be irritative. The hydrogen peroxide is fine. If it has not healed in one week please be seen to have it evaluated. If it bleeds or looks infected then you would need to be seen as an emergency.

See your dentist!: Tongues normally heal quickly. 3 weeks is way to long to consider continuing to treat yourself. I would not use the listerine as this is probably irritating the area. Hydrogen peroxide can leave you vulnerable to fungal infection in the mouth as well. I strongly recommend letting a dentist look at your tongue and give you the proper treatment.
