A member asked:

Prolonged menstrual bleeding? my girlfriend, thirty eight, no children, has had prolonged menstrual bleeding, 3 months. she went through a similar incident years ago which was taken care of by a d&c, and her doctor seems to think she will have to do so ag

Yes, : Yes, her feelings are very understandable in that situation. Besides the obvious stress from bleeding for three months, she most likely has a hormonal imbalance. Please have her tell her doctor her symptoms immediately so that he is aware and can get her help.

Prolonged bleeding: Absolutely not normal to bleed for three months. When the cause becomes apparent it should point to the solution.
