If you are have generally been on the 1/8th of a tablet and aren't having withdrawal symptoms (nausea, anxiety, agitation, stomach pain), then you can try splitting that dose or try stopping the suboxone. Ask your doctor for guidance as well. You could also try medications like zofran, phenergan, (promethazine) or Clonidine which aren't addictive but could help you with the side-effects. Ask your prescriber for help.

When you are ready: Sounds like you've done the right thing by tapering it down which makes it easier to get off. Can even do 2 mg strips and take 1/2 (1 mg) and then 1/4 (0.5 mg) then stop. Timing depends on your comfort level, but should have a plan, be physically and mentally ready and work with a doctor who can support you while your getting off. Good luck, .
