Is estradiol safe for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding?

No: Estradiol is a type of hormone made in the ovary. We don't recommend it because it can feminize boy babies (make them look more like girl babies). You should talk to your OB as soon as you find out you are pregnant if you are already taking estradiol.

HORMONE: I would not advice taking hormone to a first trimester pregnant patient and to mothers who are breastfeeding.
