No: Ocella (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) is a birth control pill. There is obviously no need to take it during pregnancy. It won't actually cause any problems to the pregnancy but can put you at increased risk for blood clots. It is safe to take ocella (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) during nursing but it may decreased your milk production.

No: There is no reason to take a birth control pill during pregnancy. During breastfeeding we usually recommend methods which do not contain estrogen as this hormone can reduced the breast milk supply.

No: Ocella (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) is a birth control pill so you should not take if you are pregnant. You can take while breastfeeding but it may make your milk supply go down. A better birth control pill to take while breastfeeding would be the minipill which will not decrease your milk supply.

No: Combined oral contraceptives are not recommended while breastfeeding as they can decrease the quality or quantity of your breastmilk. Any hormonal contraceptive, including ocella, (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) would be contraindicated in pregnancy as it could potentially cause problems in fetal development.
