Worrisome: Further evaluation is recommended. Sometimes peptic or gastric ulcer can give sensation of both hunger and abdominal pain as eating temporarily neutralizes the stomach acid. If you aren't eating and still gaining weight, this could be related to some hormone type dysfunction. It is helpful for your doctor to know what makes you feel better, type of foods that aggravate symptoms, your BM history.
