Infertility : Infertility is the inability to achieve pregnancy after one year of unprotected intercourse. At this point you can start by making an appointment for yourself and your partner with your primary care provider or gynecolgist, who can perform the inital infertility work up. For your partner a semen analysis will be ordered, and for you a pelvic exam, possibly pap if not done recently, std testing, and hormone levels. Depending on the outcome of these tests, you may be referred to an infertility specialist. There are many treatment options for this issue. They will be able to guide you every step of the way in your quest to achieve pregnancy. In the meantime you can start with an over the counter ovulation prediction test. Follow the detailed instructions in the packaging, hopefully this may help. Best of luck to you!
