Well : Well this can mean a few different things. You may be dealing with flat feet and/or plantar fasciitis. Both of these problems can lead to the symptoms you described, especially if you are a runner or walk very long distances without supportive shoes. Plantar fasciitis is a condition in which the plantar fascia (thick band of tissue on the bottom of your foot) is inflammed. Stretching and wearing the right shoes can help. Also vitamin deficiencies can cause this problem ( commonly b vitamins). Even diabetes can cause a neuropathy (nerve damage) which can lead to burning in the feet and legs. As you see there are many possibilites. I recommend a visit to your primary care provider for a more detailed history and examination. In the mean time wear shoes with good arch support, take a multi-vitamin, also an anti-inflammatory can be used in the mean time like advil or ibuprofen. Good luck.

Nerves: If you're diabetic then neuropathy is the most likely cause. Otherwise restless leg syndrome is a possibility. Follow up with a podiatrist or neurologist.
