If : If your bleeding is out of the normal for you, and the bleeding continues past the normal number of days you bleed, then yes there is a possibilty you could be having a miscarriage, or threatening to have a miscarriage. The only way to find out is to schedule a visit with your doctor for a complete evaluation. On the other hand you may just be having a heavier than normal period. Also, you should probably be screened for fibroids, which are benign tumors of the uterus, and commonly cause heavy periods. Good luck.

Bleeding: Menstrual bleeding for longer than a week is not normal. You can take a home pregnancy test. However, due to the length of bleeding a visit to your family or gynecologist is warranted.

See doctor.: Add with Dr. F. To prevent anemia from excessive bleeding, you should take oral iron and multivitamin supplements. Do see your doctor.
