If : If you had a tetanus shot a year or two ago, then no you don't need another shot. But please call your doctor and be sure that you had a tetanus shot. Tetanus shots are good for 5 years for large, contaminated wounds, and for 10 years with small cuts or scrapes. If you are not sure, please check. If you have any wound redness, fever, or discharge, then you need to be seen immediately.
