Stem Cells are Legal: Stem cell research and treatments are currently legal in the US. The issue now is that the pharmaceutical industry is pressuring the fda to classify stem cells as drugs, making it illegal for doctors to harvest stem cells in the office. We would only be able to purchase cells from the industry. Stems cells are expensive now, in a couple of years the cost will go up astronomically.
