It : It is not safe to have sex while you have a kidney infection. You are at risk for exposing him to the infection. A man's urethra is a strerile path to his bladder/internal organs. Also, many woman have reported severe discomfort during sex with an kidney infection or uti. If you are taking birth control, please also note that antibiotics often decrease their effectiveness. It is important to use a back up method both during and for a week after your antibiotic regimen.
