Blot clots in the leg can cut off crucial blood supply to the lower extremity resulting in tissue injury and possible loss of a limb. Go to the emergency room. (pain and warmth that has gradually increased over time can alos be arthritic pain, however it is better to be safe than sorry - get it checked out urgently).
