Exam needed: Acute phlebitis is a concern.I recommend an examination by your physician who would arrange for an ultrasound of the leg if findings warrant it. If there are coagulation abnormalities with your disease you would be prone to phlebitis.

Related.: Scleroderma is associated with vascular problems, including DVT (deep vein thrombosis). Your symptoms suggest DVT and merits an immediate visit to the nearest hospital emergency dept for anticoagulant therapy. Dvt can lead to a pulmonary embolism which can be fatal.
