There : There are many things that cause umbilical (aka belly button) pain. You may have an umbilical hernia (part of the intestines bulging through a defect around your belly button) or even appendicitis (an inflammation/infection of the appendix) there are other possibilities including irritable bowel syndrome, cancers(rectal, colon), and even kidney problems. The bottom line is umbilical pain can be a sign of a serious condition, and warrants an evaluation by your primary care provider right away. Good luck.
