Several things: Very localized pain at the top of your belly button could mean a small abscess (pimple). Is there any redness? Could be a small umbilical hernia. (Is there any puffiness?) If this has been going on for a long period of time, is is associated with other symptoms? Diarrhea,etc.? Most umbilical pain is related to bowel disorders, kidney disorders, infections, etc. Some can be serious. Check with Dr.

For the past few days I have been experiencing a burning in my belly button and it's starting to swell a bit. It hurts mostly when I bend down on get up when I touch it it's sore right on top of my belly button and I get a sharp pain?
