The : The hormone "human chorionic gonadotropin" or HCG hormone is produced during pregnancy. It is made by cells produced in the placenta, which nourish the fetus/embryo/unborn baby. The HCG hormone can be detected in the blood within 11 days following fertilization or conception. Normal HCG levels in woman are less than 5 mlu/ml. If your HCG level was 9 mlu/ml, chances are you are pregnant.
