Provided : Provided that you are not allergic to certain, nourish your body with foods that are rich in nutrients. There are drinks (for example, "ensure") that are essentially meal replacements and have sufficient calories, fats, vitamins and carbohydrates that will provide your body the nutrients it needs. If you are not able to hold down food due to nausea, it is recommended that you drink these beverages every 4-6 hours for a couple of days.(this can not be a long term plan. Reintroducing natural food into your diet is the best way to supply your body with nutrients.) next, consume bland carbohydrates to get your stomach ready for solid foods. Then reintroduce boiled and steamed veggies for about 2 days, then bland protein (plain chicken breast, turkey) for a couple of days, and finally raw fruits and vegetables respectively. Continued inability to keep food down and more weight loss will land you in the emergency room. Also, malnutrition affects the electrolyte levels in your body which can affect important bodily functions (for example the contractility of your heart due to low potassium levels). It is highly recommended that if you are unable to keep food down, that you get assessed by a doctor.

This is serious: It is a very serious symptom of depression. What you have now needs medical attention. So first check with your primary care and make sure you are physically ok. Second, consider seeking help with depression. Lack of appetite is a common symptom of depression. If you are taking meds, ask your doctor to use one that can increase appetite. Certain antidepressants can cause nausea and vomiting.
